Classic problems with renovation plasters

Conventional restoration plasters are water-repellent (hydrophobic). This interrupts the capillary transport, which almost prevents the release of moisture and massively increases the capillary rising damp. The damp damaged zone is thus extended, the plaster flakes off and detaches from the masonry.

Stains and discolorations

In the first stage, the mixture of moisture and salts from the damp walls reaches the surface of the plaster, thus forming damp spots and discoloration.

Salt efflorescence

The second stage is followed by salt efflorescence, also known as the formation of crystallization on the plaster.

Plaster chipping

In the third stage, hollow spots appear in the masonry and very unpleasant spalling of the plaster.

Masonry

The final phenomenon is stage 4, here the bricks become friable and need to be replaced, which is known as wall rot, the friability and weathering of the plaster and bricks of walls.

Problem 5

The POROment plasters are available as interior and exterior solutions and consist of quartz sand, cement and the POROment additive.

Problem 6

The POROment plasters are available as interior and exterior solutions and consist of quartz sand, cement and the POROment additive.

The problems

Damp walls due to water-repellent plaster (hydrophobic)

Plaster is destroyed by crystallising salts (crystallisation pressure, blooming)

Masonry moisture remains in the building fabric (consequences: mould, wall dampness, etc.)

Salts accumulate in the pores and clog them (wall cannot breathe)

Long renovation times due to longer drying times between the individual plaster layers (waiting time 1 day/mm layer thickness)

Lifetime of the wall is limited or restrictedby plastering

The solution is pore technology

Buschek's damp wall plaster systems have the ability to release moisture through the plaster extremely quickly while permanently maintaining the diffusion properties of the plaster. This is achieved by the unique pore structure, which ensures an extreme surface enlargement - thus Buschek's plasters prevent mould and ensure a dry, mould-free wall surface.

Dry walls due to water absorbing and releasing plaster (hydrophilic)

Plaster retains its beauty and is not destroyed, as no crystallization of the salts occurs.

No clogging of the pores by salts

Highly moisture regulating (water absorption and release)

Short renovation times due to short drying time between the individual plaster layers (approx. 24 hours for 20mm layer thickness)

Very fast removal of wall moisture due to highly absorbent and releasing plaster

Long service life due to decades of experience

Micro air void content over 50%
Vapour diffusion value: approx. 6µ
